This morning in celebration assembly we and the other children diong Catch-Up with Mrs Seex, Miss Carter, Mrs Why, Mrs Lawless and Miss Farmer, received certificates for improving with our reading.

This term we have worked really hard and we have had really good fun. We feel really pleased and our teachers are really proud.

On Monday we were visited by Bridport TLC, a non-profit organisation, who want to teach us how to reuse, reduce and recycle.

They put on a small performance that gave us some information about recycling. It was enjoyed by all, especially the Key Stage 1 children.

Then in the afternoon, Leon came into our classroom and we wrote a song about recycling in the tune of the drunken sailor.

It was really good fun!

On Thursday 20^th March we had our Easter celebration. Six children from year 6 read the Easter story (re-told by Brad-Lee), they all had a card and on the back of each card was a letter. The cards in order spelt CHRIST.

Loads of Headteacher's Awards given out

"Well done for all your hard work!"

(Great voice - well done!!! Ed.)

We had a soloist singer, Reece; he sung the spring song Walk in the Light. He sung the third verse. He was very brave for singing in front of  over 30 adults and 260 pupils.

There was also an Easter egg competition for year1-year 6. There was a winner chosen for every class by Mr & Mrs Darmanin.

There was also a prize for the book week writing competition. Mrs Varndell decided who won the prize in each class.

This morning each key stage 2 class treated us to a real dance-off with a set of dance performances based on West End musicals.

Each class was choreographed by Mr Upton during their dance lessons this term. Well done Mr Upton! ( we are not worthy!!!! Ed.)

On Tuesday 4th March, Mrs Cobbs class went to the farm at Kingston Maurward for the day. Here are some photos.....

On Friday each class was given the chance to put on a small circus performance to show off their new-found circus skills. Here are some pictures from the Key Stage 2 performance in the afternoon. The children and staff had a great time. A big thank you to Mrs Varndell for organising this event!!!
